River Palm Retreat offers a “private summer camp”, vacation whether it be for a sabbatical, holiday, getaway or staycation, along the San Marcos River; available activities are swimming, fishing, kayaking, croquet, bird watching, sightseeing, shopping, and relaxation amidst the solitude of nature…and we have a hot tub. This unspoiled section of the San Marcos River is surrounded by mostly rural land and is generally inaccessible to the public.
Absolutely beautiful home, inside and out. A group of us (6 adults) spent the weekend here and had a great time. The home is clean and well stocked with all the essentials, beds are comfortable and the screened in porch was SO relaxing. We spent time down by the river and were greeted by some very friendly pups who like to fetch sticks and one actually dives for, and retrieves rocks!! The home is quiet, roomy and very comfortable. The location is secluded but close enough to enjoy a trip into town for shopping and just looking around. Thank you for sharing your home with us, we truly enjoyed our stay. We will be back when it's cooler so we can enjoy the hot tub.
Beautifully decorated with gorgeous view. We'll definitely stay there again! Great fishing just a short walk from the back door! Definitely a do over!

RIVERVIEW LOFT – Two additional guests can be accommodated in the 400 square foot second story apartment. The centrally heated and cooled loft features a common living and kitchenette area, a bedroom, and a full bath. The covered 8’ x 20’ balcony looks over the entire back yard and river. The loft has its own washer and dryer located in a downstairs laundry room.
